Caring About Water

The Be Water association is founded to protect our rivers and seas, our cultural and traditional heritage and knowledge, and to promote a ethical and sustainable way of living.

As a follow up to Man on the River, a 5.200 km journey from London to Istanbul, Be Water is a non-profit association aimed to promote the idea of a conscious and sustainable relationship to the nature and the nature of water.

We travel the European and the world waterways, to promote and to bring to life a information and awareness campaigns regarding water protection. The Be Water Projects involve a wooden boat, CLODIA, and two ships, with great history: MEMPHIS and CHULUGI.

Be Water is dedicated to:

• Raising awareness among citizens, institutions, and businesses to foster a respectful and just relationship with water.
• Advocating for water as a public good and an essential human right.
• Supporting actions to reduce exploitation and mismanagement of water resources.
• Promoting a culture of energy conservation, environmental care, and mindful consumption.
• Collaborating with small land operators on socially beneficial initiatives.
• Encouraging a light, slow, and environmentally conscious approach to travel.
